Overview

The HFS-10 Nuclear Radiation Detector is a compact, high-sensitivity dosimeter designed for monitoring X, β, and γ rays. It features a strong performance microprocessor and a 2.0-inch colorful TFT screen, offering a user-friendly interface and robust anti-interference capabilities. The device incorporates sound and light alarm functions, with a user-resettable alarm threshold to alert workers to potential safety concerns when radiation readings exceed predefined limits. Its technical specifications and operational features align with national and international standards for radiation detection.

Function Description:

The HFS-10 primarily measures real-time dose rate, average dose rate, and accumulated dosage. It provides continuous monitoring of radiation levels and calculates the total accumulated dosage over time. The device includes calibration functions to ensure accuracy. Users can set real-time dose rate alarm thresholds and total dose alarm thresholds, which are continuously adjustable.

A timing measurement function allows users to set a "Measurement Time" ranging from 0 to 999 hours and a "Start Delay" from 0 to 99 hours. During timing measurement, the device will reset real-time dose rate, average dose rate, accumulated time, and accumulated dosage to zero after the "Start Delay" countdown finishes, then begin statistical measurement of radiation dosage and total dosage ratio. Measurement data is automatically saved upon completion of timing measurements and can be reviewed in the "Records" interface.

The device features an over-limit alarm function, triggering an alarm if radiation levels exceed the set thresholds. It can save the historical records of the most recent 10 timing measurements. A built-in calendar/clock function ensures the clock remains operational even after power-off. Battery operation is indicated by a battery power icon on the display. In case of a sensor failure, the screen will prompt "Equipment already damaged." If the detector screen is in sleep mode and detects radiation dosage exceeding the alarm threshold, it will automatically alarm and jump to the radiation measurement page.

  • Measure Precision: -17% to +25% (based on 137Csγ)
  • Battery Duration: 20 days (continuous measurement, particle sound off)
  • Charging Port: Type-C (LED is green during charging, turns off when 100% charged)
  • Alarm Responding Time (t_r): <10s
  • Alarm Threshold Deviation: -17% to +25%
  • Size: 120 x 65 x 25 mm
  • Weight: 127g
  • Real-time Dose Rate Measuring Range: 0.05 µSv/h - 50 mSv/h
  • Average Dose Rate Measuring Range: 0.05 µSv/h - 50 mSv/h
  • Accumulated Dosage Measuring Range: 0.1 µSv - 9999 mSv
  • Waterproof Grade: IP40 (not resistant to rain or water spray)

Usage Features:

  • Power On/Off: Press and hold the Power/OK button for 3 seconds.
  • Navigation: Left and Right Selection/Value Decrease/Increase buttons for menu navigation and value adjustment.
  • Radiation Measurement: Access "Measure" on the home screen to view real-time, average, accumulated dosage, and total measuring time.
  • Timing Measurement: In the "Schedule" interface, set "Start Delay" (0-99 hours) and "Measurement Time" (0-999 hours). "Start Delay" can be set in hours, minutes, and seconds.
  • History Records: Stores up to 10 timing measurement records in the "Records" interface. New records overwrite the oldest if storage is full.
  • Data Clearing: "Delete Current Data" clears average value and accumulating time on the measurement page. "Delete History Data" clears all data in "Records." Data cannot be recovered once cleared. Deleting is not possible during timing measurement (indicated by a lock icon).
  • Calibration: Access "Calibrate Factor," enter password "0018," and adjust the CF value (default 1.00) to calibrate measurement error (20 µSv - 1 µSv).
  • Alarm Limit Setting:
    • Real-time dosage alarm limit: 0.1 µSv/h - 999 µSv/h
    • Accumulated dosage alarm limit: 1 µSv - 9999 µSv
  • Unit Setting: Change units between "µSv" and "µGy." Also allows language selection (English/Chinese).
  • Sound Setting: Adjust Alarm Volume (setting to 0 disables sound, only light blinks) and Alarm Times. Particle Sound can be turned ON/OFF; when ON, the device sounds upon ion detection.
  • Clock Setting: Set Year-Month-Day and Hour-Minute-Second. It is advised to set local time and date before use.
  • Sleep Setting:
    • Screen Sleep: Set the duration before the screen turns off when inactive (in minutes). Setting to " " keeps the screen on.
    • Auto Shutdown: Set automatic power-off time from 1 to 9 hours. Setting to " " disables auto-shutdown, requiring a long press of the Power/OK button to turn off.
    • Screen Brightness: Adjust display brightness.

Maintenance Features:

  • Storage: Turn off the device when not in use. Ensure a full charge before long-term storage, and recharge the battery every 12 months.
  • Charging: Charge promptly when the battery is low to maintain accurate measurement values.
  • Battery Life: Enabling "Particle Sound" will reduce battery duration.
  • Safety Reminders:
    • If radiation readings are abnormal or unexpected, do not place the device in high-strength radiation areas.
    • If "Equipment already damaged" message appears, do not use the unit in high-strength radiation areas.
    • Do not use in environments containing flammable, explosive gas, or powder dust.
    • The device has an IP40 waterproof rating, meaning it cannot be exposed to rain or water spray.
