The Doheny's In-ground Solar Reel serves as a mechanical aid for handling solar pool covers. 4. Installing the Tubes: The small tubes and the large tube are inserted into the tube adapters, ensuring the screw holes on the tube ends are exposed. Three 1-3/4" screws are used to secure the tubes to the adapters on both ends, tightened with a drill. Additionally, three 1/2" screws are used to secure the tubes to each other. The length of the tubes can be adjusted to fit the width of the pool.
5. Attaching the Cover: The solar reel should be positioned near the edge of the pool (for rectangular pools) or at a midway point (for irregular pools). Holes are punched in the cover, and elastic straps are folded into the casing and slid into the cover. Once through, the elastic strap is unfolded to lock it securely.
