Important:
• Carefully read this manual. Failure to comply with
these instructions can cause injury, death, or
damage to the unit.
• Do NOT allow children to operate solar heater.
• Always turn the lter system off when installing,
working on, or servicing the solar heater.
• Install solar heater far enough away from the pool
to prevent children from using it as a way to access
the pool.
• When loosening any threaded connections on your
 lter,pumporpool,besurethatthelterhosesare
 closedorblockedtopreventwaterow.
• Please try to keep all the connection hoses straight.
NOTE: Be sure to place your solar cover on at night to
helpretaintheheatgeneratedbythesolarheater.
How SolarDome works:
Waterowsfromyourpool’slterintothebottomleft
corner(inlet)ofthesolarheater.Aplug built into the
lower header pipe of the solar heater forces the water
up through the left half of the unit. When the water
reaches the solar heater upper header pipe, it ows
to the right and back down through the right half of
the solar heater. As the water travels through the solar
heater,itisheatedbythesun.Theheatedwaterthen
owsoutofthebottomrightcorner(outlet)ofthesolar
heaterandbacktoyourpool.
What Tools will I need?:
• Allyouneedisaatheadscrewdriveror5/16th”
nut driver.
When Should I Run the SolarDome?
• The solar heater works best when the sun is
shining.
Where should I put the SolarDome?:
• Choose a hard, level surface.
• The unit(s) should never be placed on a roof, or
any structure.
• Install dome on the ground in a location where it
 willreceiveatleast6hoursofdirectsunlightaday.
• Theunit(s)shouldbeangledtowardthesunusing
the legs provided.
NOTE: The solar heater is to be installed between
thelterandthepoolwaterinlet.SolarDomemustbe
placedaftertheltertopreventbuildupofdirt/debrisin
thetubing.
NOTE: If solar heater needs to be further from the
lterthanthehosesallow,youmayneedtopurchase
a longer hose with the 1½” diameter openings, or
connect2hosestogetherusinga1½”-1½”coupler(not
included). In this case make certain you have two hose
clamps to secure the hoses to the coupler. If the hoses
aretoowidetotthehoseconnector,putthe1¼”-1½”
tubereduceronthehoseconnectorandcontinue.
CAUTION: Ensure ALL hoses connections are tight
andhosesareNOTkinkedorbentatsevereangles.If
the hoses are leaking, check to make sure ALL of the
partsthathave.O-Ringshavethemattachedandare
screwed on tightly. DO NOT over tighten hose clamps.
NOTE:Theshortrubberhose(seepartsphotoonparts
list under letter C) is only used to connect multiple solar
heaters together.
Troubleshooting
Solarheaterdoesnotappeartobeheatingthepool.
• Makesurethatwaterisowingthroughsolarheater
 bycheckingtheowatthepoolreturn.
• Notetheweather,hasitbeencloudyorraining
• Use your pool cover at night to reduce heat loss
• Pool size may require additional solar heater
Bubblescontinuetoappearfromthepoolwaterinlet
during operation.
• Checkconnectionsandtubingforleaksorclogging
• Checktheowrate

• Make sure connections and hose clamps are tight
and not defective
