Using the refrigerator RM(x)8xx6
26
•
Protect the interior of the vehicle from warming up excessively (e.g. sunshades in
the windows, air conditioner).
•
Protect the refrigerator from direct sunlight
(e.g. shading the windows).
•
Voltage fluctuations can have a negative effective on the cooling capacity. Check
the temperature inside the refrigerator regularly:
– when using DC current during the journey
– when using AC current at the site of use
7.2 Energy saving tips
•
Allow warm food to cool down first before keeping it cool in the refrigerator.
•
Do not open the refrigerator more often than necessary.
•
Do not leave the doors open for longer than necessary.
•
Defrost your refrigerator as soon as a layer of ice forms.
•
Arrange the food in the refrigerator so that air can circulate inside.
•
Leave a distance of about 10 mm between the contents and secondary
evaporator.
7.3 Operating in low outdoor temperatures
I
➤ Check whether the ventilation grille (fig. 4 1, page 4) is free of leaves, snow or
similar objects.
➤ Mount winter covers (accessory) for the ventilation grille (fig. 4 2, page 4).
Winter cover in AC operation, DC operation
I
➤ Install both winter covers (2) as shown in fig. 4, page 4.
NOTE
Cold air can restrict the performance of the unit. Attach the winter covers
if you experience a reduced cooling capacity at low ambient tempera-
tures. This protects the unit from excessively cold air that might other-
wise restrict its performance.
NOTE
If a roof vent is installed, only the lower winter cover must be installed.
