Overview

This document describes the DV24CE/L-0.6/34 Blind Motor, a component of a control system for Venetian blinds.

Function Description

The DV24CE/L-0.6/34 is a motor designed for Venetian blinds, enabling automated control of their movement. It supports various operational modes including setting and deleting limit positions, adjusting the motor's direction, and managing matched emitters. The motor incorporates an electronic limit system and a built-in receiver for remote control.

Key Functions:

  • Limit Position Setting: Users can define up to three limit positions: an upper limit, a lower limit, and a third intermediate position (e.g., half-open). These limits prevent the blind from over-extending or retracting.
  • Limit Deletion: Individual limit positions or all stored limits can be deleted. Deleting all limits restores factory settings.
  • Dot-Move Setting: This feature allows for precise, step-by-step adjustment of the blind's position, facilitating accurate limit setting.
  • Emitter Management: The motor can be paired with various remote control emitters. It supports adding new emitters and deleting existing ones. The motor has a memory capacity for up to 20 channels (emitters). If more than 20 emitters are added, the oldest channel will be overwritten.
  • Direction Reversal: The motor's operational direction (up/down) can be reversed if needed, allowing for flexible installation and configuration.
  • Rechargeable Power: The motor can be powered by a 12V battery pole (DC224 or DC224A) and can be recharged via a charger (DC2401(J/K) or DC520) or a solar panel (DC683B for DC224A).

Important Technical Specifications

  • Model: DV24CE/L-0.6/34
  • Power Supply: 12V
  • Emission Frequency: 433.92/868 MHz
  • Control Range:
    • L1 (open space): 200m
    • L2 (partition): 35m
  • Emitter Capacity: Maximum 20 channels (emitters). Exceeding this limit will overwrite the oldest channel.
  • Motor Type: Designed for DC Venetian Blinds Drive.
  • Compatibility: Compatible with various single-channel, 5-channel, 9-channel, and 15-channel emitters, including models like DC305A, DC306A, DC287, DC288, DC1650, DC1651, DC1600, DC1602, DC313A, DC289, DC262, DC316A, DC476A, and DC1653 (LCD emitter).

Usage Features

Installation:

  • The motor is installed within the U-shape groove of the Venetian blind, connected to the drive-shaft and rope winder (DS391).
  • A wall bracket is used to secure the blind assembly.
  • The motor connects to a 12V battery pole for power.

Setting Up the Motor:

  1. Initial Setup: After switching on the motor, press the setting button (P2) on the motor head for 2 seconds until the motor runs for a hint.
  2. Limit Position Setting:
    • Up Limit: Press the "Up" button on the emitter. When the blind reaches the desired upper limit, press the "Stop" button. Confirm by pressing the "Run for hint" button.
    • Down Limit: Press the "Down" button on the emitter. When the blind reaches the desired lower limit, press the "Stop" button. Confirm by pressing the "Run for hint" button.
    • Third Limit: After setting the up and down limits, the third limit can be set to any intermediate position.
    • During limit adjustment, pressing the setting button once enters step-moving status for precise positioning; pressing it again exits this status.
  3. Direction Reversal: Press the "Up" button on the emitter, then the "Stop" button, followed by the "Setting" button (P2) five times. The motor will run for a hint, indicating the direction has been successfully changed. This operation can be repeated to cycle through directions.
  4. Emitter Matching: To add an emitter, follow the specific instructions for the emitter model. For emitters without a dedicated setting button (like DC1650), pressing the "Up" and "Stop" buttons simultaneously functions as the setting button.

Button Specifications (on Motor Head):

  • Up/Stop/Down Buttons: Control the blind's movement.
  • Program Button: Used for various programming functions.
  • Setting Button (P2):
    • Short Press (once): Motor runs upward.
    • Short Press (twice): Motor stops.
    • Short Press (thrice): Motor runs downward.
    • Long Press (>6s): Motor runs for a hint, then changes direction with existing limits.
    • Long Press (>11s): Motor runs for a hint, then deletes all memory and restores factory settings.

Important Notes:

  • During settings, operations must be performed within 10 seconds; otherwise, the motor will exit the setting mode.
  • If the motor has already matched a code, repeating the setup process will clear its memory.
  • Setting up, deleting programs, or setting limits are unworkable in group control mode.
  • The up and down limit points cannot be set to the same location.
  • The down limit point must be completed before setting the up limit.
  • After limit setting, the motor gains power and memory functions.

Maintenance Features

  • Rechargeable Battery: The motor uses rechargeable battery poles (DC224A) which can be charged via a charger or a solar panel (DC683B).
  • Emitter Deletion: To clear all matched emitters and limit switch memory from the motor, use the "Delete emitter" function. This effectively resets the motor's memory.

FCC Statement:

  • The device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules, ensuring it does not cause harmful interference and accepts any interference received.
  • Users are cautioned that changes or modifications not expressly approved by the responsible party could void their authority to operate the equipment.
  • The equipment has been tested and found to comply with Class B digital device limits, providing reasonable protection against harmful interference in residential installations.
  • If interference occurs, users are advised to: reorient/relocate the receiving antenna, increase separation between equipment/receiver, connect to a different circuit, or consult a dealer/experienced radio/TV technician.
