It is not possible to mark on bare metals which reflect the beam.
But on painted or anodized metal is possible by removing the top layer
(like painted caps)
Note : We recommend 7031 HD Quickscan ideal to mark @ High
production rate
The marking on PE, HDPE is very difficult because transparent to
the wavelength. The polyethylene largely transmits the laser radiation.
But PE may be doped with suitable additive or pigments to create
photochemical reaction and obtain contrast.
To validate an application :
The sampling stage is mandatory to check laser beam effect on a defined and definitive
substrate and get marking quality Customer approval.
