13.6 “QAP” Function
The QAP function contains the instrument procedures which
allow WSP-authorized technicians to set the instrument certifi-
cation. For proper use of the following capabilities, refer to
W
SP
procedures. Upon entry of the QAP function, a special
menu dialog is presented to the technician. The menu dialog
offers buttons for QAP Printout, Adjustment, Lin Test (1-4), In-
valid Sample, Interference Test, and Set Certification.
13.6.1 “QAP Printout” Function
This function allows the technician to generate an external
printout of the “DRAEGER ALCOTEST CALIBRATION/AD-
JUSTMENT RECORD” document. It can be generated at any
point in the QAP process, so depending on the time initiated, it
is feasible that a printout could be generated which may be in-
complete.
13.6.2 “Adjustment” Function
This function allows the technician to perform an Adjustment of
the IR and EC
sensors if desired. The following data entry
items are collected:

date/timestamp for line "Date/Time Began" on printout re-
cord
Calibration Adjustment Performed? y/n
If No, sequence is complete.
If Yes, collect following:
Batch #
Reference Value
Simulator #
Thermometer #
13.6.3 “Lin Test (1-4)” Function
This function allows the technician to perform external stan-
dard tests on various concentrations as per WSP QAP proce-
dures. The following data entry items are collected:

Sim Temp 34.0°C +/- 0.2°C Before? y/n
The instrument will then perform five Calchecks on the
external
standard. Then after the analytical steps, one final data entry
item is collected:
Sim Temp 34.0°C +/- 0.2°C After? y/n
The instrument will then calculate, store, and
print the corre-
sponding mean, standard deviation, bias
%, and CV %.
13.6.4 “Invalid Sample” Function
This function allows the technician to perform a test to attempt
to trigger the “Invalid Sample” mouth alcohol event. There are
no technician data entry items for this function.
13.6.5 “Interference Test” Function
This function allows the technician to perform a test to attempt
to trigger an interfering substance detected event. The follow-
ing data entry items are collected:

13.6.6 “Breath Test” Function
This function allows the technician to perform a test to provide
a breath sample. The following data entry items are collected:

13.6.7 “Set Certification” Function
This function allows the technician, as per WSP procedures, to
set start o
f the certification period of the instrument. The certi-
fication of the instrument will expire one year following the date
en
tered here
.
13.7 “Show cylinder info” Function
This function lists dry gas cylinder information including
cylinder number, lot number, pressure and expiration date.
This function can be used to designate which cylinder is
“Active”.
13.8 “Diagnostic Information” Function
This function provides an overview of the dynamic and static
values of the system in real-time.
