8.3 Inspection
The designation "Inspection and safety check" applies only in the Federal Republic
of Germany and corresponds to the "Recurring safety inspection" in Austria.
8.3.1 Safety checks
Safety checks are not a substitute for maintenance, which includes the preventive
replacement of wearing parts as specified by the manufacturer.
8.3.1.1 Performing the safety checks
1. Check that the corresponding instructions for use are available.
2. Check that the product is in good condition:
– All labels are complete and legible
– No visible damage to the following components:
– Trolley and castors
– Housing parts
– Hoses and cables
– There are no cables and hoses jammed between the wall mount and the
device.
– There is no visible damage or corrosion on the wall mount (only applicable
for wall-mounted version).
– The potential equalization cable is in place and connected to the respective
potential equalization pins on the wall mount and the wall connector.
– There is no visible damage on the fastening material of the wall mount.
– The ventilation slots on the device and the wall mount are not covered.
– The lifting mechanism for the wall mount is sufficiently lubricated. The
lubrication is supposed to last for 50 docking and undocking operations.
8.4 Maintenance
8.5 Repair
Repairs may only be performed by specialized service personnel.
Only original Dräger parts are allowed to be used for repairs. Repairs must be
carried out by Dräger.
