CAUTION:
1. Before replacing a component,make sure that the replacement componentmeets
the required specifications. To avoid computer failures, never usecomponents
that donot meet the specifications.
2. To avoid internal damagesuchasshort circuits and fire, never dropmetal
objects suchas screws,pins, paper clips, etc. into the components.When a screw
is removed, be sure to replace a screwthat is the samesize asthe original screw.
Make sure that all the screwsare fastened securely. Loosescrewscan cause
short circuits, overheating, smoke,or fire.
3. Before raising a FRU or other component,make surethat all the component
cables have been disconnectedto avoid the risk of electrical shock causedby
accidental contact with the energized components.
4. For AC input, besure to usethe AC adapter and AC powercable that comewith
your computer or Toshiba-recommended equivalents.
5. To avoid the risk of electrical shock,make sure that all the replacement
componentsmeetthe specifications of the computer and that all the cables and
connectorsare fastened securely.
6. Inside the PC are componentsthat becomehot during operation (such as the
CPU and cooling module). To avoid burns, let the hot componentscool down
before starting inspection or repair task.
