Disassemblethe computer following the stepsdescribed in Chapter 4 andperform the
following checks:
Check1 The SecurePadmay be faulty. Replaceit with a new one following the
instructions in Chapter 4. Then gothrough procedure 1 again. If the Finger
Print is still not functioning properly, perform Check2.
Check2 The systemboard may be defective. Replacethe systemboard with a new one
following the stepsdescribedin Chapter 4. Then gothrough procedure 1
again.
