—Unplug fromoutletwhennotinuseandbeforeservicingorcleaning.

—This appliance isprovidedwithdoubleinsulation.Useonlyidenticalreplacementparts.

Inadouble-insulated appliance, twosystemsofinsulationareprovidedinsteadofgrounding.Nogroundingmeansisprovided
on adouble-insulated appliance, norshouldameansforgroundingbeaddedtotheappliance.Servicingofadouble-insulated
appliance requires extreme careandknowledgeofthesystem,andshouldbedoneonlybyqualifiedservicepersonnel.
Replacement partsforadouble-insulated appliancemustbeidenticaltothosepartsintheappliance.

Unpackunit.Savecartonforoff-seasonstorage(ifneeded).
Ifhangingtheunit,placeapproximately3—6feetabovethefloor/groundlevelforoptimalcatchrateandeasyaccessfor
cleaning.Unitcanalsobeplacedonthefloororground.
PlugintoanoutdooroutletorULlistedextensioncordasdescribedin"IMPORTANTSAFETYINSTRUCTIONS."
Turnpowerswitchto"ON"position.Theswitchislocatedundertheupperhousingontheouterrim.
Forbestcatchresultsleaveunitonatalltimes,exceptwhencleaningorservicing.
Catchrateactivitywillbehigheratnight.Forbestcatchresultsitisrecommendedtokeeptheunitawayfromcompetinglight
sources.Intendedforhouseholduseonly.
Itisrecommendedtoplacetheunitatleast10to20feetawayfromwherepeoplewillbesitting.
Thisunitisall-weatherresistant—designedforoutdooruseincludingrainyconditions.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem:
Bulbdoesnotilluminate
andfandoesnotspin.
Bulbilluminates,butfan
doesnotspin.
Fanspins,butbulbdoes
not illuminate.
LIMITED WARRANTY
Possible cause:
I. Noelectricalpower.
1 Shortedfan.
1. Bulbnotseated
properly.
2. Burntout bulb.
Correction:
I. Checkplugandreceptacleandfuseorcircuitbreaker.
2.Checktomakesurepowerisswitchedtothe"on"position.
1.UNPLUGUNIT:Examinefan to seethat it is free from
foreignmaterial,dirtorbuild-upofdeadinsects.Cleanunitas
in "CLEANING"section.
1.Checkallsocketsforproperbulbseatingandalignment.
2.Replacebulbif neededfollowinginstructionsunder"Replacing
Bulb".
CLEANING
Frequentcleaningwillprolongthelifeoftheunit,ensurefirepreventionandprovideformoreefficientoperation.
Besuretocleantheunitonceperweek

3. Forweeklycleaning,twistthecageclockwise.Removeanybuildupfromtheinsideoftheretainingcage.
5. Whenreplacingtheretainingcage—DONOTpress/ pushagainstthescreenwindows.
REPLACINGBULB
TheLightbulblifeexpectancyisapproximately3,000hours(orabout4months),andshouldbereplacedregularlytoensure
optimalUVeffectiveness.Eventhoughthebulb'slightmaybevisibletoyou,itsabilitytoattractinsectsdiminishesovertime.
. Turnpowerswitchto"off"position.UNPLUGUNIT,andallowbulbtocoolbeforereplacing.Turntheunitupsidedown.
Twisttheblackthreadedfastenerpiecesecuringthelighthousingcounterclockwisetoloosen.Movethelighthousingtothe

Twistthetwoblackthreadedfastenerpiecessecuringthelightandcarefullyremovethesilverclips.

Coverthebulbwithaclothtoprotectyourfingersandhand.Graspthebulb(withyourhandandfingersprotectedbythe

Removeanydebrisfromthelampsocketwithabrushbeforeinsertingthenewbulb.Insertnewreplacementbulb.Place

6. Twistthelighthousingclockwiseintoplaceandsecuretheblackthreadedfastener.
Replacementfluorescentbulbscanbefoundatyourlocalretailerorcanbeordereddirectlyfrom bycalling
warrantiesto theoriginalpurchaserthatthisproductisfreefromdefectivematerialsand
workmanship.Thiswarrantyis limitedtoremedyanydefectivepartfor a periodofoneyearfromdateof
originaldateof purchase.Retainyouroriginalreceiptasproofofpurchase.Thiswarrantydoesnotapply
to thelightbulb,norto,in ourjudgment,misuseor abuse.If thisunithasbeenaltered,nowarrantyisin
force.Thiswarrantydoesnotapplyif thisunitispurchasedoutsidetheUnitedStates,excludingCanada
andMexico.Innocaseshall beliablefor anyaccidental,punitive,consequential,or anyother
damagesof anykindfor breachof thisor anyotherwarranty,expressedor implied,whatsoever.Some
statesdonotallowlimitationonhowlonganimpliedwarrantylasts,sotheabovelimitationor exclusion
maynotapplyto you.Thiswarrantygivesyouspecificlegalrights,andyoumayalsohaveotherrights

Do notmount theunitnearheat,gas,oilorotherflammablematerials.
Mount product outofreachfromchildren.
Never operate thisproductif it hasadamagedcordorplug,if it isnotworkingproperly,if it hasbeendroppedor
damaged, orifit hasbeendroppedintowater.
This product isequipped with2-condudorcordand2-prongpolarizedplugasa safetyfeature.Thisplugwillfit ina
polarized outletonlyoneway.Iftheplugdoesnotfullyfit intheoutlet,thenreversetheplug.If it stilldoesnotfit,
then contact a qualifiedelectrician. Toreducetheriskofelectricalshock,onlyplugintoaproperlyinstalledoutlet.
Do notattempt todefeatthissafetyfeature.
Do notinsertfingersoranyforeignobiectsintotheunitwhileit isconnectedtoanelectricaloutlet.
Collected insects withintheunitmaycontributetofire,sodeaninsectsfromtheunitfrequently.

Do notabuse cord—never carryorhangunitbycordoryankittodisconnectfromreceptacle.Keepcordawayfromheat,
oil,orsharp edges.
Extension cords usedwiththisproductmustbemarkedwithsuffixletters"W-A"andwithatagstating"SuitableforUse
withOutdoor Appliances".
Use onlyextension cordsthathaveplugandreceptaclesthatmatchtheproductplug.Replaceorrepairdamagedcords.

FlyinginsectsareattractedtotheunitbyUVlightandC02
thatis generatedby the photo-catalysisbetweenthe UV
lampsandspecialTi02coating.Thefanthenpullstheinsects
intothescreenedbase,trappingthemuntiltheydehydrate
anddie.Thebasecanberemoved,allowingthecontentsto
beperiodicallyemptiedintothetrash.Thesee-throughscreen
showstheinsectstrappedinthecompartment,alertingyou
whenthenetneedstobeemptied.
