A spectrum may be placed at any of the 24 “time slice” locations. Placing a spectrum at
a given time slice will determine the timbre of the sound at that point in time.
ABOUT TIME SLICES
Once you have determined the length of the sound that you wish to synthesize, Emax
II automatically divides the sound into twenty-four equal sections. Each section is called
a time slice. A time slice contains the spectrum at a given point in the sound. A Time Slice
is simply a Spectrum which has been placed at a Time Slice location. You can create a time slice
and save it as a spectrum, or place a previously created spectrum at a time slice.
