EA4TX – ARS-USB Manual – June. 2024 Page 9
1.5 End Limits: Azimuth & Elevation
The ARS can indicate when it reaches the motor limits, using an LED (one for
Azimuth and another for elevation).
In this way, when it reaches the CCW or CW limit in the case of Azimuth, or DOWN
or UP for elevation, the LED lights up steadily. While it flashes as it approaches that
limit.
When you move away from these limits, the LED remains off.
Therefore, there are 2 LEDs (one for Azimuth and one for Elevation) that are used as
end of travel or limit reached.
These LEDs that light up when the limit is reached are useful during the calibration
process.
