This hose reel is for outdoor home applicaons only. Use only cold water. Not

for commercial applicaons.

Before use, ensure the hose reel is securely mounted to the mounng device.

Regularly inspect the mounng device and hose reel casing for signs of undue

wear.

Do not mount the hose reel in a locaon that is decient of any shade. Excess

heat from the sun may result in wear and possible damage of the hose reel.

Do not allow children near the hose reel at any me.

Once the hose reel is mounted, do not apply any extra weight to the unit. This

may result in breakage to the unit or the mounng device.

When rewinding the hose, always slowly walk it back to the reel. Never let

go of the hose while it is rewinding.

Always turn o the water at the tap when the hose reel is not in use.

Release any remaining water from the hose before leaving for storage.

During winter or when the temperature reaches 32 degrees Fahrenheit or

colder, remove the hose reel from the mounng device and store indoors.

Leaving the hose reel out during extreme weather will result in wear and

possible damage to the hose reel, voiding the warranty.

Store the metal hose nozzle indoors in a cool, dry place when not in use.

Function Description

The primary function of the Earthwise Automatic Hose Reel is to provide an organized and easily deployable watering solution. It automatically retracts the hose, eliminating manual coiling and tangles. The reel is designed for wall mounting, allowing for a fixed and accessible watering station. The included 7-setting metal hose nozzle offers versatility for various watering tasks, from gentle misting to powerful jet streams. Quick connect adapters facilitate easy attachment to a water source and the hose nozzle.

Usage Features

Installation: The hose reel is designed for straightforward wall mounting.

Position Selection: Choose a sturdy surface (e.g., brick wall, solid wood post) at approximately waist height.
Marking and Drilling: Use the mounting bracket as a template to mark screw locations. Drill four 2-inch deep holes and insert the provided wall plugs.
Bracket Securing: Re-align the bracket with the holes, ensuring it is level, and fasten the screws until the bracket is secured.
Hose Reel Attachment: Align the back of the hose reel with the wall bracket and insert the securing pin through the holes.
Nozzle Attachment: Attach the 7-setting metal hose nozzle to the hose end using the male-to-male quick connect adapter (Part D).
Water Source Connection: Attach the 15-foot inlet hose to your tap using the male-to-female adapter (Part E). Test to ensure the hose reel rotates freely 180 degrees with the inlet hose connected.

Operation:

Water On: Turn on the water at the tap.
Hose Extension: Take hold of the hose and slowly walk away from the reel. The hose will unwind, and water will flow through it.
Automatic Locking: The automatic locking ratchet will secure the hose at your desired length, indicated by a "click."
Hose Retraction: To rewind, gently tug the hose away from the reel. The hose will begin to retract. Slowly walk back towards the reel, never releasing hold of the hose while it is retracting to prevent it from flipping up and causing damage.
Water Off and Drain: When finished, turn off the water at the tap and release any remaining water from the hose using the nozzle.

Safety Precautions:

Always read and understand all safety instructions before use.
Use only cold water; not for commercial applications.
Ensure the hose reel is securely mounted and regularly inspect for wear.
Avoid mounting in direct sunlight to prevent excessive heat, which can damage the reel.
Keep children away from the hose reel.
Do not apply extra weight to the mounted unit.
Always slowly walk the hose back during rewinding; never let go.
Turn off water at the tap and drain the hose when not in use.
Remove and store the hose reel indoors during winter or when temperatures drop below 32°F (0°C) to prevent damage and voiding the warranty.
Store the metal hose nozzle indoors in a cool, dry place when not in use.
Be aware of the choking hazard from small parts and the risk of scalding if the hose is exposed to direct sunlight for prolonged periods.

Maintenance Features

Cleaning:

If the hose becomes dirty, the gate on the front of the hose reel can be removed to rinse the hose inside.

Storage:

During winter or when temperatures reach 32°F (0°C) or colder, the hose reel must be removed from its mounting device and stored indoors. Failure to do so will result in wear, damage, and void the warranty.
The metal hose nozzle should also be stored indoors in a cool, dry place when not in use.

Inspection:

Regularly inspect the mounting device and hose reel casing for signs of undue wear.

Warranty Limitations:

The warranty is voided if the product is used for commercial or industrial purposes, or if there is operator abuse, negligence, or failure to assemble, operate, maintain, or store the product according to the owner's manual.
Damage caused by cold, heat, rain, excessive humidity, or other environmental extremes is not covered.
Normal deterioration of the exterior finish or normal wear and tear (scratches, cracks, dents, damage from outside chemicals) are not covered.
The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to new products sold directly from an authorized retailer.
Incidental, indirect, or consequential loss, damage, or expense resulting from defects or malfunctions is not covered.
Installation, assembly, or normal adjustments are not covered. The expense of delivering and returning the product for warranty claims is not covered.
Products sold damaged, incomplete, "as is," or reconditioned are not covered.
Damage or liability from shipping, improper handling, improper assembly, modification, or use of unrecommended accessories/attachments is not covered.
