3. Disconnect the internal battery connector [1] and move both
connectors out of the way, as shown in Figure 9.

4. Using the plastic tabs, pull the battery module out of the bay [2].
Recycle or discard it as instructed by local regulations.
5. Slide the new battery module into the UPS and connect the internal
battery connector.
NOTE A small amount of arcing might occur when you connect the batteries. This is
normal and does not damage the unit or present any safety concern. Push the two connectors
together firmly until fully seated.
