NOTE 1 If the UPS remains in Manual Bypass mode and incoming AC power is lost, the load is
automatically dropped. The UPS must be in Normal mode to provide battery backup
power.
NOTE 2 If you have any questions or problems with the bypass operation, call the Help Desk at
one of the telephone numbers in 11.2 Service and Support and ask for a UPS technical
representative.
• Press
the button on the front panel display. The main menu screen appears (see ).
• Press the
button to select Control.
• Press the
button. Control menu displays.
• Press the
button to select Go back normal.
• Press the
button to select Yes and press to return to normal (UPS) mode.
• Press ESC twice to return to the Status Menu. The UPS is now in Normal mode.
NOTE 1 The UPS should transfer from internal bypass to normal operation after a period of one
minute automatically provided the Input signals are set correctly. See Figure 23 .
NOTE 2 To disconnect AC input power during maintenance or service, turn the bypass switch to
the SERVICE position.
NOTE 3 Table 4 shows the bypass switch models available for the Eaton 9PXM UPS.
