3. Remove the eight screws on the battery cover plate and retain. Remove the plate and retain (see Figure 26
).

4. Slide the battery trays into the cabinet ( see Figure 27 for two battery string installations or Figure 28 for
single-string installations). Verify that each tray is properly aligned before sliding in the tray.
NOTE When installing single-string battery trays for BladeUPS 5.0 kVA, always install the
single-string trays in the bottom battery compartment.
5. When a tray is fully installed, tuck the plastic handle on the end of the tray into place.
