Circuit Breakers
The circuit breakers offered with Easy-Start ES
are listed in Tables 4-1 and 4-2. The interrupting
rating and terminal sizes are listed in Table 4-3.
The adjustable trip circuit breakers should be set
at time of installation for the specific motor in
accordance with above. For most applications
the following guidelines should be sufficient.
- Thermal trip should not exceed 2.5 times the
motor FLA.
- Magnetic trip should not exceed thirteen
times the motor FLA.
- Breaker trip time should be greater than 20
seconds at 5 times the motor FLA.
The nominal HP is listed for reference only. The
circuit breaker should be selected based on
motor full load and locked rotor KVA Code and
meet all requirements of National Electrical
Code.
