TRSM0950 Installation | Transmission Control Module (TCM) Installation
5. Connect the 20-Way TCM Vehicle and Body Harness
Connectors to the TCM by pressing the levers into the
locked position.
6. Reconnect the negative battery cable(s).
7. If installing original TCM, go to Step 20. If installing a
new TCM, go to Step 8.
8. Key on with engine off.
Note: Vehicle display may indicate a flashing “F”, “CC”,
or service transmission.
9. Connect ServiceRanger.
10. Go To “Configuration”.
11. Select “Identification”.
12. In the “Serial Number” parameter “New Value” field
enter the transmission serial number.
Note: Refer to SAR, locate and enter indicated “Serial
Number”, if “Unspecified” is indicated, locate and enter
indicated “Original Trans Serial Number”.
13. In the “Current MTM Serial Number” parameter “New
Value” field enter the MTM serial number.
Note: Refer to SAR, locate and enter indicated “Current
MTM Serial Number”, if “Unspecified” is indicated
locate and enter indicated “Original MTM Serial Num
-
ber”.
14. Refer to the SAR and change other configuration
parameter settings to match original TCM settings.
15. Select “Apply” and follow on-screen prompts.
16. Key on with engine off.
17. Connect ServiceRanger.
18. Go To “Service Routines”.
19. Select “Start” Grade Sensor Calibration and follow
on-screen prompts.
20. Key on with engine running.
21. Allow air pressure to build to governor cut-off.
22. Connect ServiceRanger.
23. Go To “Service Routines”.
24. Select “Start” Clutch Calibration and follow on-screen
prompts.
25. Select “Start” Rail Calibration and follow on-screen
prompts.
