The Energy Saver System commands are displayed only if enabled at the factory or by an Eaton
Customer Service Engineer.
1 Press the LOCK icon on the main screen. The Sign In screen is displayed. Use operator password
to log in (factory default password is 0101).
2. Select CONTROLS on the main screen. SYSTEM CONTROLS screen opens up.
3. Select EAA CONTROLS. This screen shows if ESS is installed or not.
4. Select ENABLE ESS. Command confirmation pop-up screen will show up asking confirmation for
the action. Select YES.
5. Energy Saver System is now enabled. When the right conditions are met, the critical load can be
supported by bypass source.
7.4.11 Disable Energy Saver System from EAA Controls menu
To transfer the critical load to Normal mode:

2. Select CONTROLS on the main screen. SYSTEM CONTROLS screen opens up.
3. Select EAA CONTROLS. This screen shows if ESS is installed or not.
4. Select DISABLE ESS. Command confirmation pop-up screen will show up asking confirmation for
the action. Select YES.
5. If the unit is on ESS, it will transfer to battery mode and the to normal mode. If the power module
is not available, the system remains on bypass and an alarm sounds.
7.4.12 Transfer from Energy Saver System to Bypass mode

2. Select CONTROLS on the main screen. SYSTEM CONTROLS screen opens up.
3. Select GO TO BYPASS. The UPS transfers to bypass mode. The BYPASS status indicator is
illuminated. The UPS status indicates ON BYPASS. The UPM status indicates IDLE. The power
module remains on.
