5. Close all UPS Bypass input feeder circuit breakers.
6. Close the doors and secure the latches.
7. Observe the UPS control panel displays becoming active, indicating logic power.
8. On any UPS, press the LOCK icon on the main screen. The Sign In screen is displayed. Use
operator password to log in (factory default password is 0101).
9. Select CONTROLS on the main screen. SYSTEM CONTROLS screen opens up.
10. Select GO TO BYPASS. Command confirmation pop-up screen will show up asking confirmation for
the action. Select YES.
The critical load is immediately supplied by the bypass source in Bypass mode from all UPSs.
The BYPASS status indicator is illuminated. The UPS status is On Bypass. The UPM status is
shutdown.

7.5.6 Starting the UPS UPMs
To start the power modules without transferring the critical load to Normal mode:
1 Unfasten the front door latches and swing the doors open on all of the UPSs.
2. If the UPSs contain input breakers (CB1), verify that all input breakers are open.
3. Close all UPS input feeder circuit breakers.
4. If the UPSs contain input breakers (CB1), close all input breakers.
5. Close all UPS Bypass input feeder circuit breakers.
6. Close the doors and secure the latches.
7. Observe the UPS control panel displays becoming active, indicating logic power.
8. On any UPS, press the LOCK icon on the main screen. The Sign In screen is displayed. Use
operator password to log in (factory default password is 0101).
9. Select CONTROLS on the main screen. SYSTEM CONTROLS screen is displayed.
10. Select MODULE CONTROLS. All the installed UPMs and their status can be seen here.
11. On the MODULE CONTROLS screen, select UPM1.
12. Select START UPM to start UPM1. Command confirmation pop-up screen shows up asking
confirmation for the action. Select YES.
13. The UPM1 rectifier and inverter will turn on and the UPM goes to IDLE state. The UPS status
changes to READY. The UPS is ready to transfer to the Normal mode and supply the critical load.
14. Repeat steps 10 through 12 by choosing another UPM until all the UPMs are in IDLE state.
15. Repeat steps 8 through 14 for each UPS in the distributed bypass system.
