ECTIVE DC Series
Use, Storage and Maintenance
• If the battery casing is damaged, highly
corrosive sulphuric acid may leak out.
• Do not stack the battery more than five
layers high! The battery is heavy and
excessive stacking may damage the
casing or the terminals.
• Keep the battery clean and check the
casing and the cover regularly. Make
sure there is no overheating or other
damage.
• If the terminal voltage is lower than
the specified voltage, please charge
the battery immediately. When stor-
ing or not using it, recharge it every
three months to avoid deep discharge.
• Avoid deep discharging the battery.
If deep discharge occurs, charge the
battery immediately.
• Remove the connection to the negative
terminal if the battery will not be used
for a long period of time (e.g. in winter).
• Do not check the battery performance
by short circuiting the terminals.
• Check the pole connection regularly
and make sure that the surfaces of
the poles are clean to ensure optimal
contact.
• Store the battery in a cool (5 to
25 °C), dry, well-ventilated location
with no direct sunlight. Keep the bat-
tery at least two meters away from any
heat sources. Check and service the
battery regularly.
