The battery is only partially charged on delivery.
!
Please use the designated charger to fully charge the battery before driving
for the first time.
• Batteries discharge daily even when not in use. In winter, batteries can lose
capacity essentially faster on account of low temperatures. Regular charging
protects your battery. Longer storage periods without charging incur irreparab-
le damage (deep discharge) to the battery.
Check the brake function.
• The brake lever for the rear wheel brake is on the left of the handlebars.
• When the brake is activated, the power current to the rear wheel is interrupted
and the accelerator deactivated. When the brake is activated, the engine does
not therefore react when you activate the accelerator.
• When the brake lever is activated, the engine’s brake energy is used for resto-
ring brake energy to the battery. Accordingly, braking recharges your battery.
