D For use out of water, the cap should be removed and re-
placed by the screw-in intake adaptor.
Putting into operation
C When used in a pond, the pump must be placed on a firm
base, e.g. a paving slab. Do not place it on the soft floor
of the pond.
D When used outside the water, the pump is started by priming
at the end of the pressure hose until water flows to the pump.
Only then should the power plug be plugged in. The pump
might emit a brief starting noise, which is normal.
Maintenance and servicing
E Disconnect the power supply. Remove intake grille (squeeze
the pressure points at the sides) and rinse coarse filter under
running water or replace. If the water is heavily contaminat-
ed, clean the filter frequently.
Unscrew and remove the retaining ring and carefully pull
the pump cover straight out, taking care not to damage
the fragile ceramic shaft. Remove impeller with spindle.
Thoroughly rinse all parts under running water and clean
with set of EHEIM brushes (order no. 4009580). Reassemble
in reverse order.
Similar to 1260010 with 10 m cable for underwater operation.

marine water. Without carrying handle. Not suitable for outdoor

G The mounting plate can be installed on three sides of the
pump to facilitate installation.
Safety instructions
The Universal pumps 1260210 and 1262210 are suitable
for indoor use only.
