8.10 THE HOT INDUSTRY VERSION – ONLY IF APPLICABLE
The hot industry version has the following special features:
* A load cell heat shield; including an isolating fiber jacket and a metal plate to
protect the L.C. against direct heat radiation.
* Load cell temp. measuring system. The L.C. temp. is displayed in real time
on the indicator, enabling the user to avoid temperatures above 80ºC (175ºF)
in the L.C. The temp. readings on the indicator display will appear above
60ºC (140ºF) every 60 seconds for about ½ a second. In L.C. temperatures
above 70ºC (160ºF) every 30 seconds and in L.C. temperatures above 80ºC
(175ºF) it will be displayed continuously, without displaying the weight until
the temp. falls below 77ºC (170ºF).
The hot industry version option enables the user to cancel the temp. being
displayed and all the announcements, i.e. T.L.BAT (transmitter low battery)
R.L.BAT (receiver low battery), NET, and units. This permits the display to
show the measured values continuously without interruption. This feature is
needed at critical moments, for example when pouring molten metal from the
furnace to the ladle to reach a desired weight of metal in the ladle. If the
