The carbon brushes
in
the
motor
should
be changed
after
1000 working
hours from
new, and subsequent
changes should be
every
800 working
hours.

a) Switch
offthe unit and disconnect
from the
mains
b) Undo the

no. M6
dome
nuts
that
hold
the back
plate
and swing
the back
plate
assembly to one side.
This
will
enable access
to the motor
brushes.
c)
Bend
back
the tags as
shown
in the above
diagram, snip offand
pull
out
the
used
brushes.
d).
Slide
in
the
new
brushes,
ensure that
the
triangular
catches on
the
side of
the
brush
holders locate in
the
slots
of
the caps.
e) Replace the machine
back
plate
and secure
with the dome nuts.
Connect the
machine
to the mains and switch on.
