This option is recommended for normally soiled
laundry.
6 Spin reduction button
By depressing this button you can reduce the spin
speed proposed automatically by the machine
according to the fabric or select the option +
«Rinse hold». The relevant light illuminates.

The spin speed is reduced as follows:
Model EWF 895
• programmes for cotton and linen, synthetics,
wool/handwash: from 850 to 400 rpm;
• programmes for delicates: from 700 to 400 rpm.
Model EWF 695
• programmes for cotton and linen, synthetics,
delicates, wool/handwash: from 650 to 400 rpm.
Position + «Rinse hold»
When you choose this option, the machine will not
drain the water of the last rinse, so as not to crease
the laundry.
At the end of the cycle, the light “End” and the
light corresponding to the option + are on,
and the door cannot be opened to indicate that the
water must be drained.
To empty out water there are 2 possibilities:
• Turn the programme selector dial to «O» position
• Select
“
Drain” programme :
the water is emptied out without spinning.

• Select “Spin” programme. Reduce eventually
the spin speed by means of Spin speed reduction
button if washing synthetics, delicates, wool or
garments to be handwashed and then depress the
“Start/Pause” button.
The water is emptied out and the laundry is spun
at the selected spin speed.
At the end of the programme the light “End” will
illuminate again.
7 Programme progress display
The (End) light illuminates at the end of the
programme. If the +
option has been
selected, both lights will be lit.
The (End) pilot light flashes in the event of
operating problems:
- 4 flashes = the door has not been closed
- 2 flashes = the machine does not empty
- 1 flash = the machine does not fill
To eliminate the problem, see paragraph “Something
not working”.
8 Programme selector dial
The selector dial can be turned either clockwise or
anticlockwise.
Position corresponds to the cold wash.
At the end of the programme the selector dial
must be turned to position «O».
