To use the fabric shaver, first ensure it is fully charged. For full battery power, a three-hour charge is recommended. Once charged, turn the appliance ON. Place the garment on a stable, flat surface and pull it straight to ensure an even shave. Before shaving, it's advisable to tuck in or remove any exposed threads to prevent damage. Gently glide the shaving head over the fabric in an up and down motion, being careful not to press down heavily, as this could damage the fabric. The device is designed for use on fabric only and should not be used on skin or hair. It is also important to avoid using the shaver on clothing while it is being worn, as this may cause bodily injury and damage to the clothing.
The Electrolux Fabric Shaver offers three speed settings (Speed Display 3) to accommodate different fabric types and pilling intensities. Users can select the appropriate speed for delicate fabrics or more robust materials. The device also features a charging light (Charging Light 2) that indicates when it is charging, and a remaining battery display (Remaining Battery Display 1) to show the current power level. The lint collector (Removable Lint Collector 10) should be emptied after each use to maintain optimal performance. To do this, twist the steel cover counter-clockwise, detach it, remove the lint collector, and empty the lint into the trash.
For optimal results, it is recommended to test the appliance on an inconspicuous area of the fabric first to check for suitability, especially with delicate or flimsy fabrics, decorations, or appliques. The shaver is not suitable for use on down or alternative down-filled garments. Always turn the fabric shaver off before inserting or removing the plug from an electrical outlet, and never pull on the cord to unplug; instead, grasp the plug itself. Do not turn the fabric shaver on if any parts are missing or uninstalled, and ensure all parts are correctly installed as shown in the diagram. Proper maintenance is crucial for extending the life and ensuring the continued performance of the Electrolux Fabric Shaver. After each use, the lint collector should be emptied. To clean the device, first ensure it is turned OFF and unplugged. Twist the steel cover (Shaving Steel Cover 7) counter-clockwise and detach it. The 6-leaf blade (6-Leaf Blade 8) can then be accessed. Use the included cleaning brush (Cleaning Brush 11) to clean the blades and the inside of the shaving head, removing any accumulated lint or debris.
The blades are designed to remain serviceable for approximately 50 hours of use, after which they may become dull and need to be replaced. When replacing the blade, ensure the appliance is unplugged and turned OFF. Carefully remove the old blade and dispose of it properly. Replace with a new blade, ensuring it is properly attached. Before each use, check to ensure that the blade is not damaged; do not use the device if any damage is detected.
For general cleaning of the appliance's exterior, use a damp cloth and a solution of water and a gentle cleaning agent. Avoid using harsh or corrosive chemicals such as gasoline, as these can cause bodily injury and damage to the appliance. Do not store the appliance in a place accessible to children.
In case of troubleshooting, if the fabric shaver is not working, first ensure the steel cover is properly twisted on and the appliance is fully charged. Inspect the blades for any foreign objects and remove them if found. If the appliance still does not work, contact customer service. If there is no indication when charging, inspect the USB cable for any damage and check if the charging light is ON. If issues persist, contact customer service.
The appliance contains a polymer lithium-ion 200mA rechargeable battery. For full battery power, charge for three hours. When fully charged, the appliance can be used for an extended period. The charging light shines red while charging and turns green when fully charged. Ensure that the appliance, cables, and outlets are free of dust or moisture before charging to prevent fire or electric shock. For frequent use, it is recommended to charge the appliance once a week, or if used infrequently, at least once every six months. Do not place the appliance in direct sunlight or in very hot areas. Always remove the charger immediately once the appliance is fully charged. Keep batteries away from children and pets.
