WARNING
Power surges must not exceed 1500 Volts. It is the duty of the plant engineer or responsible
party to select the most appropriate power surge protection.
4.12 Cable Entries
The sealing of cables and conduit entries should be carried out in accordance with the
relevant national standards or the regulatory authorities that certied the actuators. This is
particularly true for units that are certied for use in hazardous areas where the method of
sealing must be to an approved standard, and cable glands, reducers, plugs, and adapters
must be approved and separately certied.
If rigid conduits are used, it is recommended to place a exible pipe connection between
the conduit and the terminal board.
NOTICE
To prevent water inltration through the cable conduits, ensure that the cable glands
possess the minimum degree of protection as required by the plant.
