Errata Sheet
for
Type 67, 67H, 67HR, 67R, 67SS, and 67SSR Regulators Without Filters
Form 5040, May 1986
The body plug on the Types 67 and 67R regulators has been redesigned. The body seal gasket and body plug
previously used on the Types 67 and 67R regulators have been replaced with a new body plug assembly. The body
plug assembly includes the body plug and the body plug O-ring. This change only effects the Types 67 and 67R.
Replace or add the following information to the Types 67, 67H, 67HR, 67R, 67SS, and 67SSR Instruction Manual,
form 5040.
• Replace the Trim Parts of the Maintenance section on page 4 with the following:
1. Remove body plug (key 3 or 3A) to let the plug spring (key 6) and plug/stem assembly (key 4) drop freely from
the body (key 1).
2. Inspect the removed parts, replace if neccessary. Make sure the plug seating surfaces are free from debris.
On Types 67 and 67R, inspect body plug O-ring (key 3B), replace if necessary. Type 67 and 67R regulators
manufactured before May 1999 need to have the body plug gasket (key 23, figure 2) and the body plug (key 3)
replaced with a new body plug assembly (key 3), which includes the body plug (key 3A) and the body plug O-ring
(key 3B). On Types 67SS and 67SSR, inspect the body plug O-ring (key 23, figure 3), replace if necessary.
3. Install the body plug O-ring (key 3B, figure 2 or key 23, figure 3) over the body plug (key 3A, figure 2 or key 3,
figure 3).
4. Stack the plug spring (key 6) and the plug/stem assembly on the body plug (key 3A, figure 2 or key 3,
figure 3), and install the body plug with stacked parts into the body (key 1).
