Setting the Frequency
(The 3102/3105)
Screen display: F
Factory default value: Auto
The frequency at which the transmitter operates is automatically chosen by
the microprocessor to ensure optimum signal size and performance.
“Auto” sets the frequency to obtain the best echo size and optimum
performance. The actual frequency being used by the transmitter can be
viewed in diagnostics (see page 5-3).
The limits of operating frequency are a function of the intrinsic properties of
the transmitter itself, and may be set to operate at any frequency between
49 and 58 kHz.
The transmit frequency affects the quality of the echo being received, which
may be used to improve a poor echo or reduce the quality of a false echo.
