Many cable companies offer up to 30 (or more) channel services including Pay or Subscription channel.
The VCR has extended tuning range and can tune to the most of those cable channels without using a cable company
supplied converter box except channels those are intentionally scrambled by the company.
Follow the connection diagram below.

However, if you subscribe to a special channel which is scrambled, you probably have a descrambler box for proper
reception'. This VCR by itself cannot properly receive a scrambled program since it does not contain a descrambler. In
order for this VCR to properly receive a scrambled program, your existing descrambler must be used.
There are two commonly used methods of connection in this case. In both cases, VCR must be tuned into the conver-
ter/descrambler box output frequency of either channel 3 or 4.
