PRODUCTION:
To begin line up divider outfeed belt with pressure plate of former about a few inches apart.
Take dough on table and cut into strips approximately 3 inches wide and 2 inches high and place
on infeed belt (consistency in size of strips is imp011ant). Take the rst few bagels and weigh to
get desired weight. Use #7 on photo 3 to adjust weight.
MAINTENANCE:
All maintenance operations should be performed aer having disco1mected the electrical
supply.
Six month maintenance
Check the variator belt condition. If worn contact Empire’s Service Department for
instructions on how
to replace.
Changing the infeed and outfced conveyor belts
Loosen completely the two rollers and push the rollers towards the machine. is will
completely slacken both belts allowing for easy access. Remove the belt connecting pin
(please observe how pin was put through for reassembl y purposes). Assemble new belt in
reverse order and insert pin. Tighten belt rollers evenly until slack is removed. Test to see if
belts move when machine is turned on. If belts are too loose tighten belt rollers until the belt
moves smoothly. (DO NOT OVERTIGRTEN BELTS OVERTIGHTENING WILL CAUSE
DAMAGE TO YOUR BELT AND YOUR MACHINE).
Belts will have to be retightened periodically due to wearing of belt material.
