Symptom Solutions
Water comes into the powder chamber
or leaks from the cap
• Check the dental unit connection
• Check the state of the o-rings of the turbine connection
• Connect the unit to the dental unit (be careful, the powder chamber must be empty)
• Dry and ll the powder chamber
• Send the unit to an approved EMS repair center
No powder/air jet coming from the unit
• Cut immediately the air input by releasing the foot pedal
• Wait for 1-2 minutes for the system to decompress
• Disconnect the unit from the dental unit
• Press the foot control pedal of the dental unit
• if no air comes out of the turbine connector, it is your dental unit that causes the problem
• If air comes out, it is the device that causes the problem
• Unscrew the cap above the wash-hand basin, because the powder can be ejected. A sealed apparatus, even
disconnected, can indeed remain under pressure
• Empty the powder chamber and screw the cap back on
• Connect the unit to the dental unit (be careful, the powder chamber must be empty)
• Connect the handpiece to the unit
• Press the foot control pedal of the dental unit
• If air comes through the handpiece connector, the handpiece is blocked. Clean the handpiece
• If no air comes out of the handpiece connector, the unit is blocked
• Send the unit to an approved EMS repair center
No water spray is coming from the
nozzle
• Change the nozzle
• Remove the nozzle and verify that a water jet comes out from the handpiece
• Send the device to a certied EMS Repair Center
Water leakage between the
handpiece and the nozzle
(unusual leak of droplets)
• Check the position of the nozzle and its position on the handpiece
• Change the nozzle
• Check for residues between the nozzle and the handpiece
• Check that nothing aects the alignment of the nozzle
