Symptom Solution
Water comes into the powder
chamber
Check the connection for the water and air at the dental unit•
Check the O-rings of the turbine connection•
Check the O-rings on the device•
Send the device to a certified EMS Repair Center•
No powder/air jet coming from the
device / Nozzle
Immediately release the pedal
Wait 1-2 minutes for pressure release in the system
Remove the powder from the device to check the condition of the handpiece and the device
_ Replace the nozzle
_ Check if air comes out of the turbine connection
Unplug the device•
Press on the pedal•
If air not come out from the cord, • check the dental unit
_ Check if the handpiece is clogged
Unplug the handpiece•
Press on the pedal•
If air comes out of the device, the handpiece is clogged, • clean the handpiece
_ Check if the device is clogged
Unplug the handpiece•
Press the pedal•
If air does not come out of the device, the device is clogged, • send the device to a certified EMS Repair
Center
No water spray is coming from the
nozzle
Change the nozzle•
Remove the nozzle and verify that a water jet comes out from the handpiece•
Remove any residue from the handpiece with the cleaning needle in both water & air channels•
Send the device to a certified EMS Repair Center•
Water leakage between the
handpiece and the nozzle (unusual
leak of droplets)
Check the position of the nozzle and its position on the handpiece•
Change the nozzle•
Check for residues between the nozzle and the handpiece•
Check that nothing affect the alignment of the nozzle•
Eliminate residual powder from the channels using cleaning needle•
Send the device to a certified EMS Repair Center•
