9.2 System error messages
Serious system errors are always recognized by the instrument as “Fault message”,
and are shown as a lightning flash ($) on the display. Fault messages immediately affect
the inputs and outputs. Simulations and positive zero return, on the other hand, are
classed and displayed as notice messages.

Caution:
In the event of a serious fault, a flowmeter might have to be returned to the manufacturer
for repair. The procedures on Page 8 must be carried out before you return a flowmeter
to Endress+Hauser.
Always follow the Return Authorization Policy. You will find this policy at the back of this
manual.

The listed error message types below correspond to the factory setting.
Also observe the information on Page 67 and 109.

The measuring device has to be
restarted if an error has occurred
in a totalizer block (see error
No. 111 / CHECKSUM TOTAL.).
