PROline Promag 53 10 Technical data
Endress+Hauser 121
10 Technical data
10.1 Technical data at a glance
10.1.1 Application
Application Measuring the flow rate of fluids in closed piping systems.
A minimum conductivity of 5 µS/cm is required for measuring; the minimum
conductivity required in the case of demineralized water is 20 µS/cm.
Applications in measuring, control and regulation technology for monitoring
processes, filling and batching operations.
10.1.2 Function and system design
Measuring principle Electromagnetic flow measurement on the basis of Faraday’s Law.
Measuring system The measuring system consists of a transmitter and a sensor.
Two versions are available:
Compact version: transmitter and sensor form a single mechanical unit.
Remote version: transmitter and sensor are installed separately.
Transmitter:
Promag 53
Sensor:
Promag W (for water/wastewater applications)
1" - 78" / DN 25 - 2000, hard rubber or polyurethane lining
Promag P (for chemical and process applications)
1/2" - 24" / DN 15 - 600, PFA or PTFE lining
Promag H (for hygienic applications)
1/12" - 4" / DN 2 - 100, PFA lining
10.1.3 Input
Measured variable Flow rate (proportional to induced voltage)
Measuring range Typically v = 0.01 - 10 m/s with the specified measuring accuracy
Operable flow range Over 1000 : 1
Input signals Status input (auxiliary input):
U = 3 - 30 V DC, R
i
= 5 k, galvanically isolated
Configurable for: totalizer(s) reset, measured value suppression, error-message reset
