6.1.2 Requirements from environment and process
Ambient temperature range
Transmitter –40 to +60 °C (–40 to +140 °F)
Local display –20 to +60 °C (–4 to +140 °F), the readability of the display may be
impaired at temperatures outside the temperature range.
Sensor Process connection material, carbon steel:
–10 to +60 °C (+14 to +140 °F)
Process connection material, stainless steel:
–40 to +60 °C (–40 to +140 °F)
Liner Do not exceed or fall below the permitted temperature range of the liner
(→  130).
If operating outdoors:
Install the measuring device in a shady location.
Avoid direct sunlight, particularly in warm climatic regions.
Avoid direct exposure to weather conditions.
Protect the display against impact.
Protect the display from abrasion by sand in desert areas.

System pressure

Never install the sensor on the pump suction side in order to avoid the risk of low pressure,
and thus damage to the liner.
Furthermore, install pulse dampers if reciprocating, diaphragm or peristaltic pumps
are used.
