Device Functions Proline Promass 80 9 Group CURRENT OUTPUT 1/2
Endress+Hauser 25
Setting the span by means of
the 0_4 mA and 20 mA
value
The span for the measured variable selected in the ASSIGN CURRENT OUTPUT function
is specified via the VALUE 0_4 mA and VALUE 20 mA functions.
The span is defined differently, depending on the measured variable selected:
MASS FLOW, VOLUME FLOW and CORRECTED VOLUME FLOW
The VALUE 0_4 mA function is not available; the value for the zero flow (0 kg/h or
0m
3
/h) is assigned to the 0/4 mA current.
The flow value for the 20 mA current is defined in the VALUE 20 mA function, (input
range –99999 to +99999). The appropriate unit is taken from the UNIT MASS FLOW,
UNIT VOLUME FLOW and UNIT CORRECTED VOLUME FLOW function.
Example (for STANDARD measuring mode):
A0004733
m = Initial value (0...20 mA)
n= Lower signal on alarm level: depends on the setting in the function CURRENT SPAN
o= Initial value (4...20 mA): depends on the setting in the function CURRENT SPAN
p = Full scale value (0/4...20 mA): depends on the setting in the function CURRENT SPAN
q = Maximum current value: depends on the setting in the function CURRENT SPAN
r = Failsafe mode (upper signal on alarm level): depends on the setting in the functions CURRENT
SPAN and FAILSAFE MODE
A = Measuring range
