11 Operation
11.1 Reading the device locking status
Device active write protection: Locking status parameter
Operation → Locking status
Function scope of the "Locking status" parameter
Options Description
None The access status displayed in the Access status display parameter applies
→ 63. Only appears on local display.
Hardware locked The DIP switch for hardware locking is activated on the main electronics module.
This locks write access to the parameters (e.g. via local display or operating tool) .
SIL locked The SIL mode is enabled. This locks write access to the parameters (e.g. via local
display or operating tool).
Temporarily locked Write access to the parameters is temporarily locked on account of internal
processes running in the device (e.g. data upload/download, reset etc.). Once the
internal processing has been completed, the parameters can be changed once
again.
