1) Siphon enables use for extended temperature range (up to +400 °C (+752 °F)).
2) In steam applications, in conjunction with the siphon, the steam temperature may be higher (up to
+400 °C (+752 °F)) than the permitted temperature of the pressure measuring cell. Without a siphon, the
gas temperature is restricted due to the maximum permitted temperature of the pressure measuring cell.
This applies regardless of whether or not a stop cock is present.
