5.8 WB probe design
The integrated WB sensor (capacitance water interface measurement) is set at the bottom
of an average temperature probe. The standard water interface measurement ranges are
0.5 m (1.64 ft), 1 m (3.3 ft), and 2 m (6.6 ft). The WB probe is made of 304 pipe protected
by 1 mm (0.04 in) thickness PFA tube and a 316L base plate and side rods. Up to two
Pt100 temperature elements can be set inside this electrode. This allows for constant and
accurate temperature measurement regardless of whether or not there is water.
Precise initial calibration of NMT81 is performed in accordance with your options
prior to shipping.
NMT81 cannot measure the water interface if the water inside the tank is frozen.
Ensure that the water in the tank does not freeze.
Up to two pieces or one pair of Pt100 can be installed inside the WB probe.
