If you're unable to achieve the design boost pressure with your Energy Recovery Test Equipment, there are several potential causes. First, the recovery/recovery ratio might be incorrect; in this case, you should adjust the system valves or VFD to operate at the design recovery. Another possible cause is air in the system, which can be resolved by bleeding the air. Also, verify that the HPP is operating on its curve. Finally, debris damage to the thrust bearing can prevent the equipment from achieving design boost pressure, so inspect the Turbo thrust bearing for damage and replace if needed.
