3. Open the printer cover.
4. Open the paper bail.

Warning:
If you have just used the printer, the print head may be hot; let it cool for a few minutes before
replacing the ribbon cartridge.
5. The print head should be in the replacement position shown in the illustration below.

Following the steps below while the printer is turned on can damage the printer.
