Gate array E05A02 is used as an 8-bit x 3 data latch. The CPU determines the pulse width for the head-wire
drive pulses from gate array E05A02 by monitoring the printhead drive power (+ 24 V line). The CPU also
monitors the printhead temperature and suspends printing if the temperature becomes too high.
