When the printed image is faint or nothing prints even after
you clean the print head, you need to replace the ink cartridge.
Use Epson ink cartridge
SO20031.

Make sure the printer is on.

Open the printer cover.
Press the
PAUSE
button to turn the
PAUSE
light on.
Hold down the
REPLACE INK
(ALl)
button for several
seconds and release the button when the carriage moves to
the middle position. The
PAUSE
light begins blinking.
Lift the cartridge lever up until it clicks. The cartridge lifts
out of the carriage.
Warning:
Never touch the circuit board on the carriage.
Lift the cartridge out of the printer and dispose of it properly.
Do not take the used cartridge apart or try to refill it.
Warning:
Ifink
gets on your hands, wash them thoroughly with
soapy water. Avoid touching your eyes.
If
irritation
occurs, contact a physician.
Open the package containing the ink cartridge.
Now follow the instructions in “Installing the Ink Cartridge” in
Chapter
1.
