4.2.10 Waste Drain Ink Pad Unit removal
1. Remove the one screw (C.B.P-TITE SCREW, 3x8, F/ZN) found at the button of
the printer body, and remove the Waste Drain Ink Pad Unit.

2. Disengage the three hooks and remove the Waste Drain Ink Pad Unit.

3. Remove the Waste Drain Ink Pad from the Waste Drain Ink Tray.

Hooks
T The Waste Drain Ink Pad is composed as shown below. In
installation, take care not to confuse the positions of the Waste
Drain Ink Pad members.

T Be sure to place the ink tube in the correct position on the Waste
Drain Ink Pad. Placing the ink tube in a wrong position can
cause ink leakage.

R E Q U I R E D
T When the Waste Drain Ink Pad has been replaced with a new
one, make the following adjustment:
• Resetting the Protective Ink Counter
T Make sure the tip of the waste ink tube is located at correct
position when reassembling the waste ink tube. Otherwise it will
cause ink leakage.
