20 Printing Without a Computer
Follow these guidelines to insert your memory card:
1. Make sure the printer is turned on, then insert the memory card into the appropriate slot,
as shown:
If you’re using a CompactFlash or Microdrive card, insert it all the way in. If you’re using
a Memory Stick or SmartMedia card, it won’t be possible to insert it fully; this is normal.
2. After a moment, the printer reads and counts the number
of images on your card. When it’s done, you see a screen
similar to this on the printer’s control panel and your
images are available for printing.
Note: Insert just one card at a time, so you know which card the printer is
reading.
Caution: Do not eject a card while the light next to the card slot is flashing, or you
may lose data on the card.
Removing a Memory Card
When you’re finished printing from a memory card, make sure the light next to the card slot is
not flashing before you remove it.
Caution: Do not eject a card while the processing light is flashing, or you may
lose data on the card.
To remove a CompactFlash or Microdrive card, press the eject
button first. Then pull the card straight out of the slot.
To remove a Memory Stick or SmartMedia card, simply pull the
card straight out of the slot.
