3.4.2 Abnormal Updating Termination
If a Firmware updating was unsuccessful for some reason, an error is displayed by factor.
Note "*": After the memory card is inserted, automatic updating starts immediately. However, it is recommended to perform updating with the memory card inserted in advance.

Initialization Error
The initialization of the memory card inserted is
not completed.
1. Power off the printer and attempt updating again.
2. Replace the media.
3. Replace the Board.
Data Read Error Data cannot be read from the inserted memory
card, or the memory card was removed while
data was being read from the memory card.
1. Power off the printer.
2. Format the memory card and re-save the update file.
Update File Error There is no FWE82TLS.DAT file. 1. Power off the printer.
2. Save FWE82TLS.DAT on the route directory.
Power was
switched off
midway during
previous updating.
If the printer was powered off midway during
Firmware updating, a warning is given at the
next updating. (Note that this applies to only the
case where the same memory card is used for
updating.)
If power is switched off before completion of updating, the file attributes of
FWE82TLS.DAT are set in the Hidden file. When you want to update the
Firmware from the same card, remove the hidden attributes or format the
memory card, and then save a new FWE82TLS.DAT file.
No Memory Card* The memory card is not inserted in the Card Slot
when the printer is powered on.
Insert the memory card.
