Procedure
1. Move the Carriage Assy to the left.
(See Figure 5-5)
2. Confirm that the mechanism is in the PG- (minimum PG) position.
3. Loosen the screws for the right and left Adjustment Bushes (x4).
4. Place the gauge on the Paper Guide Front Assy at its right end.
5. Move the Carriage Assy over the gauge.
6. Turn each of the Adjustment Bushes to a position where the Printhead comes in
contact with the gauge. (See Figure 5-6)

Stylus Photo RX700 does not have any mechanism that
permits unlocking the carriage. Therefore, if the carriage is in
the home position, remove the retaining rings for the CR Scale
Mounting Plate Assy, securing the front and rear CR Guide
Shafts, first. Then by moving it to the right slightly, lift the
Carriage Assy and move the carriage. (See Figure 4-54)
The PG- (minimum PG) position is as shown below:

Adjust the right and left bushes so that the gauge is in even
contact with the printing face of the Printhead.
Turn the bush for the front side shaft by the same scale as the
bush for the main shaft, as a rule.
